Nice guide, just wondering, why do you start off with the lantern? IMO akali got spell vamp from her own, and you obviously take smite (= spell damage!). EDIT: if you start with a 10 AD item.
Im not saying its a bad build, I like it! But I think the lantern is just 1.3k gold wasted (minus what you sell it for).
Or am I just totally wrong?

My opinion on the lvl 2 boots argument, is that you need lvl 2 boots in between the time when you reach level 6, and Mid Game. My reasoning for this is because once you ulti to a target and use your Q on them, you need to be able to catch up to them to activate that Mark. With laning people grabbing lvl 2 boots as their second item in some cases, they can get away from you without you landing that all important damage on them. Also, you cannot afford to be losing all 3 of your ulti stacks to be chasing them down, just to activate your Q. Just my 3 cents. ;)
