I don't see the masteries, the aren't there. am i the only one that is noticing this?

why do you use magic pen quints over flat ap? I haven't seen the numbers so I don't know which variant would do more damage.

Rezziel, if you even consider reading the guide, you would understand that the strategy for my guide is not aiming towards massive amounts of Swain Ultimate time. It is simply geared towards nuking and microing. Please read and comprehend what you read before making silly comments :)

well that build is not the best thow honstly. swain wasiting his ulti alot of mana which means u need clarity. and also u need spell vamp so ur ulti will heal double which is kinda undying.

I appreciate your advice BlessedSoul and this is an old guide, I am currently updating the items since there has been a few changes since then. However I still do believe there are better items than WotA unless, you are right, there are double AP to get the best use out of it. However my build isn't necessarily aimed towards the items, because I do feel that you can build Swain any way and still be just as effective as the next guy. I just hope people understand his gameplay from my guide and the items will just come natural to them (like you said) based on the current situation.

Overall pretty decent guide, but there are a few things I would like to adress.

The first being the statement of tanking more than a rammus. This could simply be the opponents ignoring the tank, or simply because rammus should have far more resistances than you, meaning he may be tanking a lot more, but also having less damage done.

Secondly, you may not like Will of the Ancients or may not use it, but using that combined with the ap you have would give you much more healing, and to be honest, it has enough ap on the item to be considered. Also, there is synergy with other ap champs you may have, and since both Vladimir and Kennen are both common top picks, You would see even more increases to healing with the double spell vamp, not to mention the extra 30 ap.

Mejais Soulstealer should only be a very situational pick when building swain, since he usually does take a lot of focus because of his burst. This could mean he dies and loses stacks, so he should only buy this item when facerolling, and if you are in the firstplace, the mejais wouldn't be doing much anyway.

This is still a guide worth reading to at least get some insight into the champian and some strategies that you can use. Please just take this advice into consideration, since I too play Swain as one of my main ap mid champs, and would like to hear what you think about it!

Such a good guide! I've only done one PvP game so far, but for one of the first times I've wrecked the other team (and got a gank just for me:) )! I even messed it up a little! :P

I play Swain very often, and I use this build everytime, very good! Most games with this build are at least 14 kills and not more than 5 deaths.
