Killed one Kennen and one Dr. Mundo in my last game that way.

My build is slightly different from yours. I start with a Doran's Shield tought, to get a little extra damage from frenzy. And I go for Surge rather than Exhaust, using it to push towers and enjoying the great synergy with Thunder Claws.

There are a lot of things in this guide i like and some things i don't. I like your obvious focus on HP for frenzy, and very much agree with the Quints. But for runes you might wanna consider not going for armor pen marks, since its flat armor pen that only penetrates 10 armor over 1000+ damage. instead you might want to consider attack speed since it really helps your dps on your ult. 15% attackspeed on a 12 second ulti will be the difference between 10 and 12 chain lightnings and its easier to get frenzy stacks quickly.
also instead of rylias crystal scepter i prefer to get randuims omen for the AOE slow, especially in teamfights you can use it after using Majestic roar to keep your slow up for 2 additional seconds and you only miss about 80 bonus HP, which is only a 10 damage loss on frenzy.
last but not least i am personally a very big fan of frozen mallet after warmongs, followed by atmas impaler, ofcourse this is only viable with magic resist masteries and runes. The main reason i like Forzen mallet early is because you dont have a lot of mobility, a passive slow combined with rolling thunder and Majestic roar gives you a lot more chasing and running possibilities, something that volibear generally lacks. Also the enormous amount of HP scales well with frenzy and your passive.

I also have one question to you. Do you also have the problem with volibear that games tend to make or break? in other words if you are being shut down early game by a counter pick (e.g. Olaf, Irelia, Warwick) or the enemy jungler, I always feel volibear becomes pretty useless unless you can secure farm, kills and assists in other lanes and jungle.

Have used this guide a couple times and have done really well with it (the best was 15/3/8)!

No real need of that doran shield after the philo stone if you can calculate your passive well, but nice build.

Awesome guide, i just got volibear yesterday, and i gotta say saw this guide and said to my self this is gonna be epic, and i did with a score 24-2-19 xD

seems like a really good build for volibear
