Guys look i dont wanta buy runes,and thats ****.So u need to explain me how runes are good!!xD
And i think that champions are better and i dont know for what are runes for.I know that runes empower you but they are ****ing expensive and i dont have so much IP.Im going to buy Lee Sin and i buyed some runes bot the cheapest ones and school starts soon so idk when im going to buy lee sin and those expensive runes.I play shaco as jungler and i've buyed some runes that are good for Lee Sin too so i profit there.

Tell me what to do!!Shoudl i buy Lee Sin or what??

So im lvl 30 and i have all 450 , need sion and zilean 1350,i have 7 3150 and NOC. i wasted ip on champs :/

only focus on runes when you get acsess to greaters,
it won't seem like much of a change but with a full set its rather useful

So if you want to get a good ranked score, get runes, if you don't mind failing every now and then, but champs

I suggest level 1 runes at 10. The cost is negligible anyway. Get a solid set of level 1 runes for whatever role you like to play the most - or cut them generic. Do not waste any more money on runes until level 30.

2nd Tier runes are not cost effective at all, but the 1st tier ones will definitely help you getting started. After that, buy champs and save about 6-10K IP for a set of Boss 3rd tiers when you hit 30. Just my opinion.

My solution might not be the best one but a friend of mine when i was starting out told me to buy something universal so i would at least have a full page every game. His thought was tier 3 attack speed runes are unversal to everything but Casters, Then you buy like Flat AP runes for your caster page. Latter when you can get tons of IP you can buy difrent runes and get specalized pages. other option is read the guide link someone already included and find out what you need for YOUR champion and buy those. Runes do make a difrence though. For example me and a friend had a game where he went mid aganst and Annie, Annie brought her AD rune page by mistake so she played AD annie and it worked. Had she used her AP page like she wanted too she would have had to play AP (or at least not been as good at AD).

Don't bother with runes before summoner level 20 (when you can buy Tier 3 runes) as lower tier runes simply are not worth it. And while they are quite expensive and it will take a long time to build a full set, they are worth it once you have the full set. I only have a set of AP runes and am going to start working on AD soon, but the difference between runes and no runes is fairly noticeable and will make your champions better.

I suggest buying a runeset that will cover your most played champions and will be useful in most situations. Once you have the basic set you can add on more specialized runes as you gather the IP for it (assuming there are no champs you want to buy- I would suggest getting a full rune page ASAP after level 20, then get more champs).

If you already have a champion(or type of them - e.g. supports, AP carries, AD offtanks) that you're feeling good with, then buy runes for them. One set is usually good for few champs.
In other case - I'd recommend buying champs first.

You've mentioned Lee Sin, so here you've got runeset for him:
* Armor pen. marks & quints.
* Flat armor seals.
* Magic res./lvl glyphs.

Pretty universal set which will fit to almost every AD champ.

I've put getting new champions on a hold. Had 6k IP and bought glyphs and seals, now I need 5600IP for 2 more quints and 4 marks.
imho, I think it's better to get runes first.

Buy one set of runes you can use on any champ and then just buy champs (thats what Ive done). Flat armor yellows and scaling MR blues are both cheap and good on every champion. For quints either flat health or movespeed, while expensive, are great options on everyone. For reds... well the only good ones are (arguably) arpen and mpen. Id grab arpen because that will help with last hitting/jungling and mpen aren't useful on all characters.
