I'll try AD
Put it plainly, this AD carry build is viable - but only for pub teams where theres only one or no other AD heroes in your team and a bunch of other AP heroes on your team. The AD works really unexpectedly well in a team expecting you to go AP, and they wont be putting up so much AR since the other heroes in your team are mostly AP based.
Granted, the AD is really quite OP if you can put off a charm. ^Corwyn(above) says that she is useless against another AD champ - thats not true at all. I was 1v1 against a Vayne in a game, as soon as I got a charm off her, for 2 seconds, I can blast her down easily, not to mention flash chase / escape if I somehow fail. This goes the same for any other AD carry champs since they are all super squishy, with the exception of tanky champs like Lee Sin (which frankly can be really OP if fed)
The most important thing is her ultimate. None of Ahri's skills scale off AD but her ultimate allows her to kite against ALL other champions. At one point in time I was getting ganked by jarvan, ali, morde. Ulti out of ali's stun, auto-attack a few crits off, ulti-out again (by then the other heroes are starting to go back), then ulti back IN again to finish off a double kill. (my team already joined the fight so it was easy)
The only armor item in this build is Guardian Angel, which I think could be swapped with a FoN. Ahri's movement speed is quite slow, but with a FoN (since Ahri's MR remains 30 for the entire game) could really help in survivability against AP bursts, and also move fast enough to chase down any champ or escape, should your ulti be on CD.
In a team against a full armor team, it is best for you to switch back to AP builds. You could swap the bloodthirster for a last whisper or cleaver, but your damage output maybe reduced.
Well.. a long review, but it works. I have been a fan of AD/AS builds on AP champs, but Ahri really works off well paradoxically (since her skills are all AP-only). Her ulti makes up for all.. kite wins.
