I would recommend you to only release guides once you think the are finished. Sure, you can always do some fine tuning later or add additional information, but the core guide should always been finished at release, otherwise the community will rip the guide apart (and sometimes they are right to do so).
You can archive the guide because you mentioned you accidentally released it. After you finished it you can re- release it and no harm done.
