You're assuming to say enemies don't know the champ you play. That's one big mistake you're making right there in the champion selection.
Very few people know Kayle - but even if they know, I'd say she is strong :)

And no, Kayle wouldn't be strong in a 1v1. She can get bursted down easy. You can pick kayle, the enemy picks leblanc and you're just ****ed.
Actually, Kayle does perfectly well against burst Champions with her R. I have more problems against Champions that can stick to her and do more damage early game - Irelia for example. If you harass her as Kayle, she will Q to you, E-Stun and then proceed to chop you into pieces. Even if it's "only" the slow, that's enough to defeat Kayle, since her defense stats are about those of an AD ranged. Low. On the other hand, Meelees that can get kited are easy pray.
Against Burst Casters/Mages - "simply" R the burst and beat them through constant high damage output via E + Q and if necessary, stick to them with ghost. Simply keep in mind - unlike a Zilean ulti, you don't use Kayle R 'just before you die', you use it to block the highest amount of damage possible. Actually... Mages are incredibly squishy if Kayle can get a Q off and stick to them with E activated.
-> Obviously it's not "simple" to R the burst. But it's reliable for me
On another note - AP Yi may be a strong option. He can clear jungle creeps incredibly fast, push towers very well and has ridiculous sustain.

Very good points mate. I actually think I may just forget about the jungle completely except for grabbing wraiths / buffs when I can, and possibly warding dragon just in case.
Correct!
