Whenever I roll solo top i play Riven. All her abilities help you move faster for good chasing and running away, plus a stun and her ult gives you absurd attack damage with a nice aoe finisher. I love Riven rofl.

Tanky DPS is the most common pick in blind mode
In rankeds, you see counterpicks too, but tanky dps most of times

He is more of the ranged top player he plays a lot of teemo, corki and stuff like that top in scrims they just don't let him do that

He also builds them relatively tanky. His Teemo, as a quick example, usually runs FroMa and Mercs, something you'd not usually get on a ranged carry.

Either way, they're not AP.
