RoA useless on Shen as he has 0 mana. Start with Ruby and into heart of gold followed by merc treads, depending on your lane/jungle and enemy team. Rylai's works better as it gives health, slow and AP. Heart of gold, merc treads, wits end, aegis, sunfire, randuins, thorn, for of natures, sell aegis later on, good early item imo.

why would u get a rod of ages he doesnt even use mana? i understand the health and ap but why not get a rylais and you get the slow as well?

i agree...get the belt first for warmongs but always get boots next!!! and vorpal first or your just plain pathetic and you shall fall to me!

You might wanna go for low cost items first just cause they can start helping you earlier and Warmog has got to take a long time to get but besides that this is the best Shen build out there and i highly recommend it to everyone. It really is amazing the damage you can put out with this build.
