Nowaday's everyone needs to have Internet, at least that's what Steam think's. U cant get Steam without Internet connection, some Games want's you to be have a Connection 24/7, patches are not accesable without Steam(in terms of getting stuff from a Friend's PC) etc. etc. the only good thing bout this are the price-reduction, which, destroy's at the same time Job's in Gameshop's etc., and they need to do stuff like at Gameshop/stop(or whatever it was called and u created a Thread about) to still be competive.
I dislike the fact that u "must" have Internet nowadays, and thats why i think this is just another "money-getting"method.
Steam doesn't force games that don't need an internet connection to require one, so don't get pissed at it. And what's the problem of a game requiring internet connection anyway? That's like getting mad because new games require better hardware. It makes no sense.
Most of the time I'm not able to start Steam without an internet connection. So I basically have start Steam with a connection then restart it in offline mode to make it work, then never turn off my computer. Never. Ever.

That's the most annoying thing about Steam, to me.
