I've only been using then on my manaless caster page, and I stomp my lane so often with vlad I am tempted to try it in my standard caster page. It's definately worth it, if you get a good enough early game, they wont have good a late game. And those make you a winner in most exchanges.

Against every mid that harass you with mostly magical dmg.
On every champ that are susceptible to be harassed.
If you are against a passive player / champ that cant harass you / physical mid, dont.
And if you know you wil trade dmg, ask yourself if some more AP would'nt be better than takking less dmg from magical source.
Also have to check if more AP = more sustain with shield/spell vamp mecanic.
Imo Kass need it because he is a *** before 6, but I would give pure AP to Sion AP **** to see his shield not break (and use his ****ing ap ratio).

But consider snowballing too. MR gives so much help in aggressive lanes that you might end up with a better late just because of that.
Sure, it might not work in professional play, but in soloQ it works like a charm because most mid players play really aggressive. And if you win trades because of that you'll win lane too.

In an even lane you'll win most of the trades just because of them.
I've been thinking mostly that they're great on Cass, but now that I think more about it I realize that they could be potentially gamechanging for others too.
I'm thinking Cass, Swain and MAYBE Kass and Sion. What are you thinking?
