I was inspired by rainman's recent Olaf video to pick up Olaf, and that dude is just sick. I think I have a pretty good build and rune setup, I just was curious if I could hear a little about how you guys play Olaf, as I would like to make a guide.
For starters, this is how I play Olaf:
Solo Top, cloth 5 pots>wriggles>tabi>warmogs>atmas>maw>??? (I never get this far into build, game ends)

I have some questions about item progression, possibly using Fratmas instead of Atmogs, runes, masteries (currently run 1/21/8).

Let me know what you guys think, and I will try to write an olaf guide for solo top!

Tabi should be optional since Mercs can be a considerable item to buy too if the enemy team has a lot of CC.

I find that Frozen Mallet is not as good as Warmogs assuming that a good Olaf can hit all his axes and keep his target perma-slow by picking it back up. And Warmogs work better with W.

Those are my opinion though!

I realize that this is in the wrong section and apologize.

I agree that Mercs/Tabi should be a choice by game, although I feel that as a top laner, Tabi will win out most often. And that was my thought on fratmas vs atmogs, just wasn't sure what the common consensus was.

If you use atmogs, trinity force always works on Tanky DPS champs. This allows you to get that needed slow upon attacking, and actually gives you much more DPS than Fratmas. Check the Trinity force + atmogs guide, it'll tell you all about it. After that I build that I go for glass cannon **** because I'm a noob and I like to have fun with the game, but if you want to be serious I would recommend building some defenses. I'm assuming maw is Maw of Malmortius, so you have MR, so Guardian Angel would be a good idea after that. Add another life steal item after selling Wriggle's Lantern or buy more defense and you've got a solid item set.
Thanks to Rys Aberdeen, Jhoijhoi, The_Nameless_Bard, Arcana3, and Miss Maw for the sigs!

Can you provide a link to this TF+Atmogs guide? I'm bad at navigating this site, just the usual google "champion name" guide and follow the links :).

Some items I am particularly curious about as a 6th item are:
Trinity Force, GA, Banshees, FoN, Leviathan, Frozen Mallet, IE, PD, Yoomus, Cleaver, Zekes

I tend to lean towards another defensive item like FoN or GA, depending on the team I;m playing and if i am having difficulties chasing.
