I wills ay this though:
With AD runes I had an easier early jungle and was able to pull off a level 3-4 gank a lot safer.

I streamed my first two games as him on normal draft, just giving him a shot. Was pretty awesome. First match starts 26min in, second 1 hour in
Did you already played more than 100 games as Hecarim ?
KuSung:
It is true that you lose damage, but at the lowest speed buff for the boots, it grants the same mobility bonus as the Ninja Tabi or Mercury Treads. Because he benefits so greatly from speed, initiating a gank with the +5 mobility buff along with his maxed out Devastating Charge can put his movement speed over 600, slamming into an enemy and champ and taking a chunk of it's health. Defensive boots are never a bad option, but I feel like they might be a little more situational for Hec and he should definitely invest in those if he is in lane. However as a jungler, I think boots I use are fine.
I can dig your reasoning here but I think you have to accept they will be sold late game for merc treads as Boots of Mob will do NOTHING for you in a team fight.

i highly recommend frozen mallet over trinity force for hecarim
hecarim simply CANNOT stick to someone that well, and needs the slow, and trinity proc isnt 100%. the extra HP also helps. i would only take trinity if im truly pubstomping
I'm sorry but this is laughable. Have you seen his damage without Tri-force? It's trash. Tri-force is his main source of damage, his Q is basically BEGGING you to take Tri-Force. You think Hecarim can't stick to someone well? He is a move speed champ! Grab move-speed quints. He ignores unit collision. He has a move speed stroid. Are you high?!
Trinity Force has to be a core item on Hecarim. You can finish it later in the game if you wish and just get the Sheen early but to not build it is to be useless to your team. Also the mana sheen provides is invaluable early game and your jungle clear speed relies on Q spamming. You'll be wanting to give your blue buff to your mid more often than not so it really helps.
people like fancy stuff ^^
