Make sure not to get a super cheap monitor. It's going to bring the set up down. I bought a cheap monitor to save and now I regret it.

Its just where i'm from that makes it more expensive, i was changing the price directly from $ to my currency. My PC is about 1.7k $ though the parts are getting old now, got it over the course of 3-4 years. Mainly just the G-card that needs replacing:/ U didn't add: Monitor, keyboard, mouse, Not sure if u have a CPU heat sink on there, Fans, and i don't think there is a case there either
Thanks to JEFFY40HANDS for the awesome sig:D

@Zoki, it's np, I can wait :P

Btw, probably a dumb question, but these are all compatible right? Don't wanna order everything, and find out I can't use them together >.<

Oh you mean 1000$ with monitor and everything or just computer? Anyway yes, those parts are all compatible, I bought a similar PC few days ago.

Explanation soon, I'm currently working and I'll explain when I get home or maybe next day.

Yeah, They REALLY improved Motherboards from when i was building pcs back in like 2000.

There are like 3 socket types instead of 12, and motherboards accept a huge range of ram instead of just like one of 12 types.

Make sure your cpu is a good value by going here, and make sure your GPU is a good value by going here.

Then pick a HDD with a proper size, and decide on 5400/7200/10k rpm based on speed needs and price.

Pick a Mobo which supports your CPU and then pick Ram based on what your mobo supports.

Then pick a PSU big enough to poewr it all, just make sure it's 80 PLUS certified.

PC building has gotten a lot easier in recent years really.

Edit: I'm very interested in your build Zep.

I agree with most things Zoki said, but not on chassis and HDD. I'll also write a few other notes about things you might want to consider.

That chassis seems kinda horrible.. Big, with useless extra "features". It looks pretty good, but functionality should always come first.. well, IMO.
I would recommend getting the Antec 300(25$ cheaper) if you want a good cheap chassis with good air-flow(4 120mm fans).

HDD depends on what you need, but 1TB is the least I'd buy since you get more "bang"(size) for your buck at 1-2TB. Here's a good one:
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148697

The graphics card Zoki mentioned is great, but also consider the HD6870 if you want better price/performance. Though keep in mind that the HD6870 isn't as power-effective and is weaker than 7850, so you'll be limited in games more often(the really demanding ones).

Consider getting a USB disk-reader instead of an internal one. That way you can use it for all your computers whenever you need it. I mean; how often does one use physical media(CD/DVD) in the digital age anyways?
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827106329

For screens I this is the quickest good and cheap one I could find:
http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236174&cm_sp=Cat_Monitors-_-Hot_Item-_-24-236-174

For a mouse I'd recommend the Logitech G400. That's the most sold mouse design in the world. And it's cheap for a gaming mouse. Don't forget a real gaming mouse pad for the mouse!

For keyboard I'd recommend the Qpad MK-50 PRO(~80$), MK-85 PRO(~150$) or the Steel series 6Gv2(~80$) or 7G(~130$). They are good mechanical gaming keyboards. Mechanical keyboards are so expensive because they're much more durable than normal keyboards with rubber-dome(plastic) switches. They also have a sturdier and better feel. The Qpad MK-50, MK-85 and G7 include arm-rests, while the G6v2 doesn't. I personally really want arm-rests, cuz I think they're comfy :3
Take a look here for a bit more info on mechanical keyboards:
http://www.mobafire.com/league-of-legends/forum/off-topic/soo-about-mechanical-keyboards-12638

If you're not quite ready to spend a lot of bucks on a good keyboard then you should just get any 10-20$ keyboard that you think will be comfy. Don't bother with rubber-dome "gaming keyboards".

So in total that would put you at ~930$ for the computer and ~315-385$ for the mouse, (real gaming-)keyboard and mouse pad(and maybe 20$ for a mouse pad).

Temzilla definitely gave some nice tips, I would just put some advices on top of those advices. You should pick 7200RPM, because 5400 is just really slow and 10000 is just overpaying IMO. And those sites with performance/price is kinda scammy sometimes. In my country, 2500K is cheaper than FX8150 and it performs better in every app except few apps that really need hyperthreading, yet it ha lower score on that "benchmark".

@Temzilla: If you mean Zep as me, here is my build. If not, nevermind and I'm sorry :P. Also my build had a little more budget and I was quite tied to one shop, since they gave me about 8% dicsount(which is like 100$ at such price). His build is very similar to mine and that is purely as I'm very happy with my build and it performs good.

Case: Zalman Z11
Power: Cougar A660 660W
Motherboard: Asus P8Z68-V LX
Processor: Intel i5 2500K 3.3GHz Quad Core
Processor fan: Scythe Mugen Rev. 3B
Graphics: Sapphire Radeon HD 7870 2GB GHZ Edition(OC)
Hard drive: WD 1TB 7200RPM
Optics: Samsung SH-223L
Ram: Kingston HyperX 8GB 1600MHz

I also intend to overclock my processor to about 4.5 GHz and overclock graphics a bit, squeeze those extra MHz hiding.

Now to explanation for your build Acid:

Processor: i5 2500K is probably the best processor for its price at this moment, no matter what those performance/price say. This is one of best i5 models and gives great performance for a great price and its popular because only i7 are better, and those cost like 40% more.

Memory: Kingston is a very nice memory brand and they have nice aluminium passive coolers and are not surrounded by some kitschy plastics that wears off after few weeks. They give great performance and response times for their price.

Motherboard: ASUS P8Z68-V LX is a great motherboard. With i2500K(K stands for unlocked) its a piece of cake for overclocking, even for beginners. It has a nice Ez interface in bios which allows you to overclock simply, especially with unlocked processor. Also it supports Crossfire and RAM frequency up to 1886MHz without overclocking.

Power Supply: Don't really have much to say here, many power supplies are viable at that cash but I personally like Antec and many people I know have them and experienced no trouble, and ofcourse, its 80+ Bronze certificated.

Case: Case is awesome. It has 6 or something like that already integrated fans for that price, which is pure amazing. And you can still fit 2 or 3 more fans. And it looks amazing(atleast for me).

Hard drive & Optic drive: Not much to say, typical hard drive. My advice on hard drives: 7200RPM. Also, this purely depends on what you need. Same goes for optics drive.

@Searz(also about graphics card-Acid): While HD 6870 is really good, you should look for future investments. 7000 series are built on new chip technology and are PCI-3.0 compatiable. Which means, if you want to change parts in lets say few years, you can just switch processor and motherboard and you're graphics will be about 20% faster, due to new connection. I said in future because it requires Ivy bridge processor and a motherboard that supports this. You can do this now, Ivy bridge processor just came out, but you'll need waaaay more budget.

About case: I've had it now for few days and it has amazing air flow. Temperatures are amazing inside, processor is even cooler due to custom fan. Sure that chassis may look kitschy to some people, but personally I find it awesome and it actually really gives good cooling performance.

Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.

Seems good, though I might prefer sears' chassis. Though I'd like to know, because it's worded rather weird. Searz, does that chassis come with fans, or does it simply have capacity for fans? It says it has 2 fans, with capacity for more, but it's worded strange, and at points it makes it sound as though it has capacity for 2 main fans, with others if needed, but doesn't come with any :/

Also, about the HD. I don't think I'd ever use a TB, BUT I know that as you fill your HD, your computer tends to slow down a bit. Does this mean that I would have an extra 250Gb to spend before my computer started to slow? Or should I even worry about that?

As I said though, I'd never actually use that much (I haven't even filled my ****py 100Gb laptop), so would it still be worth it to get?
