Team FnaticRaidCall (last years dreamhack winner) recently announced that the popular LoL player Maciej "Shushei" Ratuszniak would be leaving the team due to lack of motivation and being unable to keep up with the meta changes after Dreamhack. He was in his prime during Season 1 where he was the MVP of FnaticRC and a major reason that they won the season 1 championship. Shushei is beloved by the team and they found it very hard to let him go, but for the sake of the team it had to be done.

Yesterday Fnatic announced their new solo-top player, Paul 'sOAZ' Boyer. He played on the recently disbanded team Against All Authority (aAa) during the Season 1 Finals at Dreamhack where aAa took 2nd place. This will be the first team sOAZ has been on without his fellow French players Linak and Yellow.

I know this will be sad for a lot of Shushei fans, but we must understand that the job of a team is to win tournaments, and if anything is holding them back from reaching this goal it must be changed.
Here is FnaticRaidCallā€™s new lineup:

  • Paul 'sOAZ' Boyer (France) ā€“ Top Lane
  • Lauri "Cyanide" Happonen (Finland) - Jungle
  • Enrique "xPeke" CedeƱo Martinez (Spain) ā€“ Mid Lane
  • Patrick "Pheilox" Walpuski (Germany) - Support
  • Manuel "LaMia" Mildenberger (Germany) ā€“ AD Carry

It is nice to see such a multicultural team. I feel like this trend will continue with how globalized gaming is becoming. :)

May I ask why this is a big front page news , while the swaps between three of the current top team where just made by the comunity? It is not like FanticRC is still at the top, it is not like Shushei or soaz had more presence in the community then one of the other good swaped. This is kind of inconsequent to pick only some news. It is like "yeah Nintendo did tell something about the 3DS at the E3".

He was moved from AP mid where he was comfortable and good to top lane where he failed pretty consistently...That's what happened

This is a lot more recent. I felt like the others were kind've old news by now, and I started writing articles after those swaps happened. You're talking about VoyBoy, SaintVicious, and... Somebody right? :P I'm just trying to do more recent stuff.

A moment of silence for Shushei, the man who lead Fnatic to their victories. You will be greatly missed. May you be successful at whatever comes at you next, and may you live on in our hearts.

*Moment of silence, bows head*

Be nice people. Just be nice. And be friendly. Then learn success.
