I find the game is far more enjoyable when I'm playing with friends in a relaxed environment where I'm completely comfortable/relaxed. Also, playing really competitively (Tournaments, Ranked, etc) can brighten up your LoL experience, I find that setting goals and achieving them is really satisfying and motivating.
