It was a double elimination tournament, CLG lost the first game, managed than to win two in a row, but they did not managed to do this in the second best of three again. You should have watched the games, tense games.
At your link you see even that CLG NA lost to dignitas in round 4.

The MLG Spring Championship concluded with Team Solomid verus CounterLogic Gaming. TSM took the grand prize with a 2-1 victory over CLG. This is quite nice for them especially since it was TSM Dyrus’s birthday. :)
For this article I will take a closer look at the final game of the match. This was a very good game and contains a lot of brilliant plays.
Highlights:
– TSM gets first blood at a level 1 fight
– TheOddOne dives bot lane and secures a kill
– Reginald bullies xHazzard out of lane and almost kills him
– Big gank on bot lane, Doublelift narrowly avoids death
– Dyrus goes mad with power and does crazy dives
– HotshotGG steals baron, keeping CLG in the game
– HotshotGG gets caught and TSM can then secure baron
Analysis:
People were very surprised to see xHazzard playing top lane rather than VoyBoy, who was recently announced by CLG to be replacing HotshotGG’s top lane and Hotshot was then moving to jungle. VoyBoy accordingly had school obligations to attend to.
TSM made a good call of being aggressive in CLG’s jungle. They wanted to slow down HotshotGG’s jungle and that’s exactly what they did. He was a level behind TheOddOne and since they got first blood it set up Reginald to dominate his lane.
They also made a very smart choice by sending Dyrus mid and Reginald top. Kayle is very good at bullying melee champions so since he was versus bigfatjiji on Kassadin. Reginald versus xHazzard was also a good choice since Karthus can farm pretty safely and punish Nidalee if she gets close.
xHazzard stars with a Wriggle’s and Doran’s Shield versus Karthus. I am not too sure about these items, but they help him have a lot more sustain and stay in lane better even though they have armor. This is the first Doran’s Shield buy I’ve seen in a very long time.
TSM makes sure to maintain the advantage by keeping pressure on every lane. Reginald and Dyrus continue to harass and zone xHazzard and bigfatjiji, and TheOddOne ganks bottom lane often resulting in them pulling ahead as well. They also steal CLG’s blue buff several times and secure dragons by forcing CLG to go back to base.
