Mainly support player in need of mentor.

Read the situation of there team but more importantly yours. If you have no tank, be that tank, play alistar or shen. If there team is AD heavy possibly fill the role of a second tank and obviosly risk your life for your team dont worry about deaths all the time, of course you need some awareness of death I mean dont feed them but if its worth taking a bullet to save someone like the carry do it, they're better fed than you. Playing soraka you want your obvios support items: shureyla's reverie and aegis of the legion but I like to place abit of AP in the build such as abbsyal scepter and will of the ancients. I believe these help the team giving spell vamp and AP but also reducing enemy magic resist. Also soraka with AP = Better heal and better heal = Survivability. AP also gives her ult abit of power crucial for the team fights. As a support be confident, If your carry is low health but has a chance of a kill or two role with him, shen taunt the enemy allow your carry top tear them down. Alistar Pop your ult run in choose your kill and headbutt him to your carry. supports with less CC and more shielding, shield your carrys at crucial points to absorb abilities and even block stuns such as morganas. Some situations will need you to step up if your carry is low health, slow the enemies do what you can to get him to your turret. SSome do require to run you probably wont survive 1v1's and definetly 2v1s your no tryndamere so if they time comes make a break for it but in a team fight never be the first to run.
