Do you ever call someone for 1vs1 or accept a 1vs1?
More often than not, it's so that they would feel better about themselves if they actually manage to kill you. In most cases, if we feel like trolling, me and my friends just own the guy if he calls one of us out. I personally think that 1v1s in Normal games are stupid since level and item difference can immediately decide the winner, but 1v1s in Customs are fine since things are more fair that way.
1v1s themselves are good practice for the lane itself (No jungler included) if you get with a friend and play a full game of it. Typically when people call you out like he did though hes doing it because he is mad, feels like his team failed him, and wants to feel like he was superior to SOMEONE. It is typically very immature and really serves no purpose to call someone out for losing. Just ignore people that say that as they typically are just raging kids. ( I have accepted someones 1v1 before, I beat them like 3 times in a row and be have up xD)
1 v 1 is almost completely stupid unless it's a strict mirror match. As in a real game there are many factors like, farming ability, pushing power, junglers and other lane ganks, 1 v 1's almost never actually happen. So yea. People who are like "OMG GANKER NEWB 1 V 1 me. GET ON MY LEVEL" are mostly stupid.
Generally seen as a designator of inferior skill and confidence "Mano a Mano" behavior is exhibited most commonly by sore losers who believe themselves trapped in "Elo Hell". Any attempt to placate the entreaties will end with additional raging, coarse textual exchanges, threats to you and/or your mothers well being, and claims of "lag".
Should you find yourself cornered by a player who has thrown down a "Mano a Mano" gauntlet, don't panic. Ping your location on the map to alert your teammates to your situation immediately. If possible employ a string of crowd control effects to extend the length of the battle, allowing your entire team to arrive and instagib him for optimum gold return (kill + assists). Possible after effects include instant rage quitting.

Whole thing I wonder about, is why the hell is 1vs1 so important to some people?
