I know the feeling. One way to do it is
to simply pick a champion which, if fed, scales
well into lategame, allowing you to carry.

I just started back into lol about a month ago and have been playing taric and karma support for the duration of my ranked experience.
I am looking to learn a new role possibly jungle which i have no clue how to do or what champions are best at it. I would love soem help as I have trolled the forums for information and everything partaining to it is gone.
