Should Dominion Have a Competitive Scene?

The reason dominion doesn't have many followers is because Riot kind of threw it out there and said "Have fun!" It was more of a distraction then anything. I'm pretty sure most people are more interested in a new 5v5 map than anything. Sure Dominion is fun but it's more of a 20 minute go in there and stab whatever moves. The reason Summoner's Rift gets so much attention is because it focuses a lot on teamwork, early game, farming, counters, etc. I'm not saying Dominion lacks these aspects, but I think Riot needs to do a major overhaul to it if they want it to get more attention.
Dominion is trash.

I think if people actually spend a lot of time theorycrafting and stuff; matches could be extremely interesting. Right now it's just a bunch of monkeys running around like idiots.
I can't take Dominion seriously. I always play with a stealth champion and stack Zeal into Phantom Dancer because it's as easy as being where the enemy is not.

The problem is, when you actually sit down and theorycraft Dominion, that's when it gets REALLY boring.
You cap three points and hold them forever. all other strategies are inferior, and the first team to 3 cap should basically win, unless their team comp sucks.

One can still sit down and discuss team comps but yeah, perhaps it does get really boring. I never looked at it that way.
Amazingly boring, because if a team is not even trying to cap anything outside of the 3 points they are holding, you can't even hardly backdoor them. They will abandon the point being defended and kill you as 3-4, take the point back after they collect the 100-200 gold from kills, go back top and take that point back and since your team dropped 1-2 trying to BD, they realistically have to back off or risk losing another 100-200 gold for free.
The only thing that matters is team comps. 3 cap and hold is without a doubt the best way to win.
That's why I hate Dominion. Stupid Dominion is aggravating and useless, smart Dominion is slow and boring.
