You know, the other day I also suffered a
crippling loss of FPS while in-game as Lux.
I knew my computer couldn't be the problem, in
the sense that it was outdated, since it wasn't
even a year old. Plus it was pretty top-notch for
dealing with league. I went from 70-100+ FPS to
15 FPS. I didn't do anything, it just happened.
I tried many things, not least changing the video
settings to very low, even though I knew my computer
could handle everything on "Very High". The FPS did
improve, but only marginally; not even reaching 30 FPS.
In the end, I restarted my computer simply and the next time
I Played, it worked. I also did try repair the client by the
way, which didn't work. I'm also confident it wasn't my connection,
as it's fast, plus there were no symptoms of it being my connections
fault. However, I suspect it may have been due to an update to
my graphics card, which came along. Yet, if so, it would and should
have shown in the games I played immediately after the update.
And this whole thing occured a few days after the aforementioned
update.
