Don't be a jack of all trades. As Rose said, it puts a limit on how well you can play.
I recommend you master the role you're most interested in, then play other roles you like enough that you're comfortable under most circumstances, then pick 1 or 2 champions that are super easy to play on the role you don't like.
I also recommend 5+ champions for the roles you like, so you don't get easily counterpicked.

Junglers and tops are generally both bruisers. In teamfights they generally peel for the carries or aim to kill enemy carries.
ADCs and APCs both focus on proper positioning for optimal damage output.
For now I'd honestly recommend just aiming for one or two in the role you prefer the most. Learn the game through the champions.

and Talon is OP when not facing a tank.
Anyway, here is what you need to know to finish this up:
Learn all lanes, and have 2-3 champs that you play well for each role.
Learn one role REALLY well, and have at least 5 champs that you kick *** with for that role.
Play every champ so you can learn them all at least a little bit so you arent surprised in fights, and have some idea of what their mentalities will be, and what their builds might be.
