Chrome, because it's "teh fastest". FireFox is
epic because of its openness and because it's
hackable, thus allowing for epic stuff.
I can't say I'm surprised about the MS Office thing
though. Most people who use it are reluctant to using
or trying anything else - in my experience.
I would also have thought that Skype was more used.

GIMP is. Proprietary software holds sway over people,
when it comes to choosing what software to use, I think.

I like Chrome, just had bunch of problems with Firefox. So I tried Opera, still not happy. But got in love with Chrome, runs smoother and faster for me at least....

Chrome is good for those who want a good browsing experience right out of the box, but FF is good for that too.
FF is waaay superior in terms of customization.
FF is also supposedly faster in a recent test I saw, but at these levels I really don't care much about speed since both are very fast.

I wrote a long long Text first.
In this text i said something about Ventrillo being sucky and Teamspeak superior so i dont understand that.
In this text i said someting about Firefox being superior and better.
But THEN i was like "oh well, its one of that searz-like threads" and deleted this post because i said to myself once to not post in that kind of threads.

Firefox is used by 63% of Steam users while Chrome is only at 12%. (and rightly so imo, Chrome still needs some work to be on FF's level)
Skype is used by 42% of Steam users.
iTunes is used by 31% of Steam users :O
µTorrent is used by 30% of Steam users while other bit torrent clients are used by 5% or less.
TeamSpeak is used by 18% while Ventrilo is used by 17%.
Microsoft Office is used by 57% while OpenOffice is used by 15% (Libre Office>OpenOffice anyway, soo.. :/ )
GIMP and Paint.net both are used by 6% while Photoshop is used by 0%? O.o
