You could also end up giving misinformation, such as Karma being a good support.
I've addressed Leona in the previous comment.
I like to write, I like supports, and I like LoL. So I wrote this guide for entertainment and if I can teach one person one thing that they didn't know about the game, than it's a success for me.
So, when I don't include a champion for lack of knowledge, I do so because it's not fun to write about, it's not something that teaches anybody anything, and it's not something that I've enjoyed in the game.
It's a bit of a ramble to get to the point, but if not including a champion that I don't know much about and haven't enjoyed yet in the game means that I 'don't understand the meta', than maybe the meta isn't something I want to understand. Or, maybe I've just missed the point of sites like Mobafire and League of Legends.
I apologize
I understand. Again, I don't have a lot of experience playing her and I didn't want to tell people that it is beneficial to build a zeke's herald or a soul shroud instead of a banshee's veil or any other multitude of tanky items on Leona since she is a tank. I'm not saying she doesn't belong in bot lane, I just didn't include her in my guide because I don't know what to say or how to say it and if my guide is infinitely worse than every other guide on this website because I don't talk about a champion that I don't know how to play, than so be it.
And I'm sure that there is a counter guide, and I'm sure that yours is very complete (hence the higher rating than mine). I just thought about it differently. This thinking however is apparently flawed, so I removed the section.
....
Bruiser top? Leona top sucks
Jungle? Not worth it - slow as hell jungle + low mobility
HENCE THE ONLY PLACE IS BOT LANE SUPPORT
Not quite sure you understand the meta and how supports should be built so I'm not gonna upvote.
Yes, there's such a thing as a counter list. My guide has one. And it's very detailed. You just happened to get many of them wrong. You should try explaining in your guide your rationale behind some of your counters, then you'll realize your mistakes before you make them. Example: why does
Taken out the counters list and addressed in the comment above.
Hmm, that's a good idea, I'll add it a little later when I have some more time!
Thanks for the suggestion 8)
First, concern, the main reason I didn't include Leona is because she seems more of a tank than a support, so I didn't want to give advice on how to play/build as a support for her. I also don't have much experience with her personally and I didn't want to tell a bunch of false information.
As to the rest, I understand where you're coming from and looking back, I see where I've messed up.
First of all, I've removed the counters section because I don't think that's really adding anything seeing as 2 of the 3 comments so far have had concerns with it.
I came up with the counters list not as a true counter guide, as in if you pick this champion, they will beat this champion in a 1v1 situation. I made it with their skill sets in mind as far as which moves can counteract which abilities.
For instance, I put Blitzcrank as a counter to Taric because when Taric dazzles, Blitz has the ability to grab and disrupt the enemy carry for the full 1.5 second stun duration, thus pulling the enemy carry out of position, dealing a lot of damage, and putting a powerful move on a 10+ second cooldown.
That's the mindset I had when coming up with the counters list. Thanks for posting your concerns because if you didn't understand it, than I'm sure that someone else didn't either and it adds some more insight into the guide through the comment section.
Thanks.
I usually take more potions over wards just because I think that lane sustainability is more important during the extremely early levels (1-6) than having that constant vision.
I say that not because wards aren't important, and I'm not making the case that dying to the jungler doesn't make you go back anyway.
It's just, from my experience, abnormal to see a level 1 or level 2 gank, which gives you a few minutes, you get a minute and a half at the start, and most junglers don't gank until they reach a certain level, which you can generally keep track of with your mid champion. So, having that sustainability during that period and then putting out your wards saves some time on your wards and keeps you in lane a little longer.
Thanks for the opinions! It's good to see different views on things
rather u should list what kind of support they are. there are three types mainly:
Burst(Kill-lane support): support with heavy cc allowing any Ad with early burst to really shine. For example taric, Alistar, blitz and leona.
Sustain(heal support): Support who obvious have some kind of sustainability they can give their carry. Soraka is the best of theese. Others are sona, karma and taric
Poke: the poke support focus on zoning to allow their carry a safe farming. Htier toolkit is made of one long range spell and at least one support spell. Example Lulu, Nidalee and Nunu Under this title do we also place the dmg based support like kayle and Gankplank(yes, gp). They're rarely used in this META but gp used to be the best dmg support. That style bases on the ability to zone the enemy out with some kind of dmg. also to help the carry kill with dmg rather then cc or buffs.
Some champs are a mix between several types. Janna is a mixture between the poke and burst support managing both. she also has a small ability to sustain altough weak.
EDIT: rofl. read the support guide made by the guy above, he said the same thing there
