Oh, and great guide btw :)

In fact, it's possible to still help your team and provide them with vision while taking
Not every situation will turn out like that, but it just goes to show how general game sense/knowledge can be used to provide you with even more information than
Also, it's very telling that all you can say about
Good guide ... but why no
Wait, I don't have Cait? FUUUUUUUUU! I'll fix that as soon as I do the next update.
It's not only that.
If you don't think Exhaust you 100% cannot engage on the enemy when otherwise with Exhaust you can.
Shutting down a carry in lane is far more important.
More so, the only thing CV would do is "prevent ganks from enemy junglers". That can only be effectively used once or twice top lane. Having Exhaust gives your AD carry a far safer laning phase as well as a more snowbally one.
Trust me I've been playing AD quite a bit and having that lane control is core.
You asked for this.
It's not that this only helps in the lane. Far from it. Before all else, you can use this to check the enemy starting items, so you can detect any cheese strategies and what lanes will the enemy champions pick. This can also detect level 1 invasions if you time it correctly, I.E. when you grab your own items. Moving on, if the game goes on normally, you can check the enemy jungler's position. This may not seem very important, but it is for some junglers, and can make the enemy scared of a non-existent invasion. If they ARE invading you, you can check any bushes you suspect they are huddled in together without having to even go near.
Moving on,
Throughout the whole game, there is also a use most people don't think of: it stops juking. I have saved quite a few kills from failing because the enemy champion just juked into the brush. Another thing related to that is people breaking line of sight with bushes, disabling any ganks. Well, won't happen, you are getting
Something I should also mention is counter-jungling. Your junglers love this, theirs will hate it. There is only so far where prediction can get you, and knowing where the enemy jungler is is invaluable if someone wants to steal a buff of theirs or something, because this allows your jungler to determine can he steal the buff in time and get out. As for your own junglers getting invaded, well, if you know he is gonna invade and/or where is he invading, you can set up a gank on his face for a potential FB.
There is also the psychological effect of the eye your enemies see. It means you KNOW what they are doing and that you CAN use it against them.
Later on in the game, they psychological effect of the omnipotent support continues and you can prevent all those death bushes that seem to pop up at that stage, as well as help determine are you chasing a bait, or an idiot. Of course, all these psychological effects don't matter if you are playing with bad players, but, well, they are bad players.
My point is, it's rather easy to dismiss

Take exhaust flash on cheatsheet!
No one takes cv anymore!

I'd go on a long, pointless rant about how

Can't believe you're only level 24. This guide is AMAZING. Awesome lay out, very in depth. I personally think Taric is one of the best supports in the game.
What's your opinion on Chalice of Harmony on Taric? I find myself running OOM very often with him.
Thank you! About
