So today I was going through and I updated one of my purchase orders and some text in my guide, and when I went back to the search screen I found that it no longer shows that I have multiple purchase orders within the guide by replacing the multiple champion icons with just 1.

This isn't a huge deal for me, but if this starts happening with a few of the other guides which sport lane and jungle purchase orders, this could hurt them because it isn't easily communicated which guides are showing the information you are looking for. Was there a reason for this change? Is it odd that it only happened when I updated a purchase order? This reminds me of a time around April where if you updated text inside of a chapter, all of the photos in the chapter would be slightly resized. That was an error in code that got fixed and eventually reverted and if this is a similar situation I would greatly appreciate the attention to this error.

Thanks in advance guys :)

This was intentional and had nothing to do with you editing your guide, it is a change we made only to the browse guide page to "collapse" these icons into one.

The listing previously showed an icon for every build in your guide regardless of champion. It basically amounted to showing the same champion icon multiple times with no further information, which we didn't really feel conveyed any useful information and made the page look awkward.

Is there any particular reason why you preferred multiple icons? Is it just that you felt readers would be more enticed to click through knowing there were alternate builds?

I personally like guides that have multiple builds designed towards specific counters and all of that stuff. Personally I've just noticed that when browsing I can tell a lot about the guide from the number of builds and the name of the guide itself.

As I said, it isn't a big deal but in the end it doesn't really save any space because all it takes is one guide with a team of 5 on any given search to destroy the aesthetic intent.

Since we are here though, I have always wondered why the icons don't show the actual build's stats when you scroll over them. I mean, it is nice that it gives you the base stats for the champions, but wouldn't it no longer be useless information if the scroll over actually showed the differences in stats from one build to another.

Also, in the theme of aesthetics, wouldn't it be somewhat more pleasing to have the verified elo icons directly precede or follow the author's name instead of placed between the freshness rating and the comment count? This would then transfer into comments and forum posts as well and wouldn't require a member to have published a guide to give note to their achievements.

Just an idea :)

Thanks for your response Matt.

Well actually the browse page is in the middle of an upgrade, check out the new version, which so far only includes updates to the filters but we will be updating results soon as well :) So we will take your suggestions into consideration as we tackle the rest of that page.

Regarding tooltips for builds, yeah that's a good idea! We could definitely include a different tooltip for builds rather than just champion details.

The Elo icons do show on forums and comments, just under your name and title. We'll give some thought to alternate locations but that system still needs some more work anyways (for example right now it's still ignoring 3s and 5s rank which we want to be included). Will consider icon location as we work on it :)
