This past season, i have seen Ocelote, and Xmithie and (I think) TheOddOne play Alistar top and absolutely destructinate. I'd say that Ali top still will be more of a counter-pick than anything else, though... Unless the jungler babysits top, Alistar can have trouble dealing with solotops that aren't AP casters

I excited to try this out in S3! Alistar is my favorite champ but right now he was hit by the nerf bat too much.

big wall of text is distracting and will make people not read it. but if you explain in simple words,add some icons and colors it will be way more readable. i want you to make a guide described all in 1 big chapter with no rows seperating the text. i wonder how many people will read it

I did leave. I took a good 6 months off LoL and hence mobafire after writing it.

And my complaint was that the mobafire community sucks and that admin don't make any effort to discourage trolling, flaming, or blatant undermining.

I still stand by that too. Mobafire has one of the worst communities I've ever witnessed.

And my hecarim build was almost identical to the ones that the pros brought to tournies a few weeks later...yes it clearly sucked...way way worse than Jungle EZ...lol...

If only I could find that thread you made that said you were leaving for sure just because your Hecarim guide (which wasn't even good) didn't get to your desired 90% rating.

Well, to be fair, your build sucks and so does your formatting. Alistar top works, in fact I know a guy who carried himself to platinum playing Alistar top; except it was with AD Alistar. AP Alistar USED to be good, but now it's pretty awful.

I find the mobafire community pretty funny.

You could hand them a guide that would jump their ELO 500 points and they'd complain about the color of the text and lack of pictures...

I write guides and theory crafting...not children's books...

I'm not gonna put any more time into this guide. It's merely here so that after I abuse the build for a while and get my free ELO someone else can't claim they thought of it first.

the items aren't upgraded and this needs code,nobody is gonna read it without code. i know this is for S3 but just put items that are similar instead.

I feel like you should have waited for the new items to be available, I can't test this till they are out. I will say top alistar was viable before S3 items....you can build him bruiser...his ult gives 100 damage and his base damage and AS are quite good and the reduction on ult is quite nice. And ap Ali has always been semi-viable.
