Black cleaver is getting nerfed so is it any good now?
At the moment stacking cleavers is very viable. If riot change that, then I will change my build, too.
While the basic stats of the Black Cleaver stack, you cannot achieve more than 30% armor penetration. Rather, with four Black Cleaver's, one auto attack will apply all four possible stacks. Any additional auto attacks (or ability uses) will just refresh the times, not apply any further stacks.
I haven't tried this build out in game, so I don't know if stacking the items for just their base stats is worth it. Therefore I won't vote at all. I just wanted to clarify what stacking these items actually do.
The purpose of the stacks may be to get all of them on an opponent faster, but with Garen's spin you can stack 4 times in 2 seconds.
I know that you can't get more than the 30% arm pen from the cleaver, but if you apply all 4 stacks before you hurl your Q and E at your enemy you deal more damage with every interval of your E. If you take a look at my calculation section, you will see how strong this is vs an enemy carry.
