Why do people ward the mid lane

Why do people ward like in the middle of a lane (not in a brush) in mid-late game?
I think most of the time you would have vision on that part of the lane because you have your minions,so why do people do that?

The minions are not always on the mid of the lane, and with that, you gain the vision of that zone, and you can see if the enemy team is moving to dragon/baron after cleaning a lane.

this. plus, you know if your enemy is about to attacked you surprisingly from behind, or they're about to approach the lane and push further(ex: wave is on your 3rd turret, you'll know if they're going mid and pressure it so you have more time to react)

yea but knowing they're about to do dragon/baron and knowing they're doing dragon/baron is the difference between setting up a trap there or having to contest it respectively

well and even when they try to rush baron or dragon, you would be able to stop them, I get it.

If you ward the middle of the lane you can see roams and where the enemy is moving. You see a lot of mid laners ward the middle of the lane to see where their opponent is roaming. This trick is particularly useful against a Twisted Fate, or Kassadin.

To keep track of who is approaching mid lane if their are no minon's in mid to view do you really want to run up an see for yourself late game? CC then 5 people jump you isn't a fun thing for anyone unless their the tank with a full team behind them........ which it benefits everyone too know where the fight is gonna happen
