MR+armor is definitely the way to go. what good is a dead support. also i think boots should come after your gold generating items but that may just be me.

I def see your point. However you dont feel that the ap helps with her attack buffs? as well her ebb/flow?

The item build is fine, but imo I would put different runes. Just stack armor and MR for small runes and gold per sec for quints. I've played some games with Nami and although she is mana-thirsty you can fix that with some mana/mana regen items.
With big armor and MR you can sustain much more in your lane and support your carry better.

The reason i chose two sets of boots is because it can be situational. For example If the team has heavy CC then you should go with the merc treads. However if you find yourself always in confrontations you should go with the CDR boots.

why 2 sets of boots why not cool down or magic resist instead of one of them
