I always felt like if you go jungle jarvan then u go tanky intiator whose main role is to trap people and tank damage while solo top j4 should go trinity force and black cleaver to nuke everyone when team fights come. U spent time on it so you deserve +1.

It's not about preference. look at the numbers. 2 plat players are telling you you're wrong. W is **** to skill. it costs WAY too much mana and the diff between level 1 and 5 is negligible.

I write guides to share my personal preferences, give background and play tips on a champion, and simply share what has worked for me so far. If I do eventually find maxing E to be more effective in my playstyle, I will update the guide. As of now though, I still prefer W, despite the very polite and respectful responses above.

Yeah, though you can take an additional point at level 8 but then it should be left to be maxed out last.

But w scales extremely poorly, and would you rather have 1% attack speed or 5 extra ad for 50+% of the game? Do the math.

@throatslasher Improved ignite is a personal choice, and not one I actually discourage. As for E, I usually find that I can get the armor I need in an early Warden's Mail and still maintain my maxed Q for poke and minion clearing.
