Views: 577 Coding in my Guides
|
I got my first vote on one of my guides. The man commented stating that I deserved the negative vote due to the lack of coding on my guide. I am pretty new with this and I am trying to work on all my guides simultaneously. I love the idea of coding them but am limited by time, HOWEVER, I wanted these guides to be available. If you are unimpressed by the look of my guides, I'm sorry and I will be working on them to be more pretty, but I wanted to get them posted and see how people liked the content of the guides and more importantly share some cool information. If you are looking at my guides please be patient with me as I develop them to be prettier. Other then that, I hope you all enjoy the guides.
Guides which look great but contain bad content are bad.
Guides which have both cannot be salvaged.
You sir, produce stuff that belongs in the last category. Also, you write guides faster than I can downvote them; maybe take more time to write them and to realise you are doing no one a favour with this stuff.
On top of this, virtually all your guides are bad. If you want negative comments about your actual guides and not just BBCoding, Laggermeister will gladly give them to you - it's one of his specialities. Especially on the support
Presentation is just as much part of a piece of work than the so-called 'content' of the work. If I can downvote a beautiful looking guide for having ****py content, then why can I not downvote a ****py looking guide even though it has good content?
You can save your guides and not publish them, so you can actually put all the coding in before you publish your work. You may want to get your content out there, but if it's presented in a way that no one wants to read, then you are not catering to your audience! Instead, you ***** about the audience and how they don't 'see the forest for the trees'. How about you present it in a way that shows both the forest and the trees?
Why should we upvote someone who clearly won't even take his audience into consideration?
