SwizzNL's Rise To ELO Heaven (and maybe beyond)!

At the start of Season 2, I was curious again because friends still played it and wanted to give it another try and up until now I'm still enjoying it! I'm still learning from every game I play and this is also one of the reasons that I started this thread. When I hitted lvl 30, I made the stupidest mistake to immediately start ranked games and I regret that still. I dropped to 800 ELO and began playing normals because I needed to improve my playstyle. I also watched streams, looked up builds for my champions on this site and Solomid, watched YouTube video's and with practice and patience I slowly became better. About 2/3 months after my drop to 800 ELO I started playing ranked again because I thought I had more experience now. I worked my way up to, about, 920 ELO I guess at the end of Season 2. Now Season 3 has started and my ELO got reset to 1200 and I already worked my way up to 1306 and this is the point where this thread starts.[/spoiler] [u]The Goal:[/u] I want to try to hit Gold tier this season. Because with all the games under my belt, and experience in-game with all the different players out there, this will be my goal for now. [u]The Roles:[/u] I can play all the roles, but I will focus on the mid and ADC position because I have the most fun in those roles and I had good winrates with them. The only thing I want to avoid as much is jungling, but if I have to, I play the more supportish jungle roles. [u]The Champions[/u] The following list are the champions I play with, sorted out at their roles and skill from left to right: - Support: [[Soraka]], [[Janna]], [[Nunu]], [[Taric]] (although I don't like [[Taric]], but I'm saving up for [[Blitzcrank]]/[[Leona]]). - AD Carry: [[Tristana]], [[Sivir]], [[Ashe]], [[Vayne]]. - Solo Mid: [[Malzahar]], [[Cassiopeia]], [[Ryze]], [[Orianna]], [[Galio]] (specifically for countering certain carries like [[LeBlanc]]/[[Veigar]] who can dominate hard). - Jungle: [[Rammus]], [[Amumu]], [[Maokai]] (Yes, bought him!). - Solo Top: [[Xin Zhao]], [[Olaf]], [[Cho'Gath]], [[Teemo]]. So this is quite a big and diverse roster, but as I'm continuing my journey, I'll discover which champions are better in certain situations and when it's better to generally avoid champions. [u]What the viewer can expectL[/u] After each game, I'll post a screenshot of the game. You can view which champion I played, what score I had, Summoner Spells and Item Build. If I do something wrong or you see some things that I can change, post a comment because that will help me to improve my gameplay. Also I'll try to give a summary of the game itself: what went well, what went wrong, in which way can I improve, that kind of stuff! I'll try to get a stream working, but because I have my school and my brother and sister are having the rooms next to me (and they have to study too), I can't talk so much and talk hard, so this is not my priority for now. Well, I hope I've given you some good information about myself and my roles/champions so let's see what the future brings! Wish me luck :) P.S. [center][u]Summary[/u][/center] This game went quite well from the start. [[Lulu]] was a great support to have, the only thing which was strange is that she always got the kills by a simple AA/spell, but that was just by accidence and I can't be mad at her. Good ganks from [[Maokai]] and the teleport ganks from [[Cho'Gath]] won us the lane. Their [[Zed]] was a problem early because he was doing great and ganked a lot but with good teamwork from our side we could shut him down. Mid went quite well and [[Cho'Gath]] on top was just dominating his lane. All in all a great game and they surrendered at 21. Me and [[Taric]] at bot lane took advantage from some mistakes [[Janna]] made and I got some kills. [[Pantheon]] started pretty well too at top but their [[Dr. Mundo]] ganked very nice and frequently so their [[Darius]] could pick up some kills. But [[Kha'Zix]] at mid is just an instaban for now: so strong, really mobile and can assassinate so fast: not even normal. This is also why we lost the game because [[Kha'Zix]] got a lot of kills and they were getting tankier and tankier. In teamfights we also had bad focus and they took us down way too fast. They saw a first pick enemy [[Blitzcrank]] and they immediately started to scream: "Yes, GG", "Blitz OP!" and such stuff. Luckily I could convince them that an enemy [[Blitzcrank]] is not necessarily a lose and we picked quite well. We could hold bottom pretty well but the enemy [[Miss Fortune]] and [[Blitzcrank]] worked well together and we had a few clutch moments. Nonetheless, as we proceeded into mid-game, we had a focus advantage. The enemy started to focus [[Garen]] (who initiated very well) and me and [[Twisted Fate]] could deal some very serious damage to them from the back. After half an hour we took the first inhibitor and they couldn't react to that and after a final push, we could win the game![/quote]
