Hi there I main support champs (lv23)

I have a good basis of information/experience regarding what I am doing in the role and I often play it very well. But being level 23 I'm sure there is a lot more I could learn. I'll add you when I get home and hopefully we can play a game or two.

My support champs are Sona, Leona, Thresh, Soraka and I'm looking to add Zyra and karma to the roster!

Karma's a really weak support. Her lack of ult and hard CC makes her extremely underwhelming compared to any of the supports currently considered viable. Hell, Karma doesn't do much that Soraka can't do better, and Soraka isn't good currently.

My posts may be long. If this bothers you, don't read them.

Karma's a strange support- like Zilean, she can troll your opponents a lot. Like any support, she builds off of what your AD wants/needs. And she has 2 great support options- her speed/slow (works with anything that the line hits,) and her healing, which effects her when cast anytime. Her AP Ratios are higher than Soraka's, but like lifebaka said, Sona, at least on paper, is way better. I like them both, but in the end they're the same character with Sona being more of an offensive support and Karma being more defensive. I also just like Karma for the surprise in the enemy's chat. She's cheap, so just go ahead and get her, unless you want to run around with a great mid/support champ- then just go Zyra first and add Karma in for ***** and giggles.

Your insulting your teammates instead of helping fight really helps us win!- said noone, ever. Seriously, if you have time to insult, you're the reason your team is losing.

I would disagree. I think she makes a good support/lane partner. You just have to play her a little differently from how you would play a normal support. I've witnessed a Karma play solo top against two champs and dominate the lane, if a support can do that I think she is very viable in a duo lane/teamfights if you're ADC understands how she works.

At the end of the day she still exists without any changes, if there was truly a problem I'm sure Riot would do something.

Well, in competitive play, support Karma is extremely weak. The fact that she can hold a solo-lane is possibly proof that she's more viable as APC than support. Generally speaking, there are simply better supports to be working with. She doesn't provide hard CC like Alistar or Janna], or insane sustain on the level of [[Taric or Soraka. Even Zilean is better than her as a support due solely for his ultimate. There are few ADCs that actually synergise well with her. In fact, the only two that come to mind are Graves and Urgot.

Karma is unique in the sense that she does more when she builds AP items as opposed to regular support items and deals more damage than most other supports might. But beyond that, she offers very little utility. She's a lot like... Nidalee support, I'd say. It's a novel idea, but I wouldn't do it unless I made absolutely sure I knew what I was doing.

I would not use her in competitive play, I'm looking to add her to my collection of "support" champs for the normal matches where I can just derp about. As Alasai said "for ***** and giggled" I still think she would make a good "lane partner" (Notice how I don't say support) with an ADC if she opted for assists and tried to equally share minions. I can imagine her and Caitlyn mopping the floor with bottom lane if played well... Slows, immobilizes, shields, sustain and long range pokes all round!

But hey thats just my opinion and what do I know with my meager 64 posts aye? haha!

I would DEFINETELY look to add Blitzcrank, Taric & Lulu to your rosters, just sayin!

Karma is a weak/weird support. She's looked down upon, but she can work if you have some experience with her, goodluck!

Urgot is not an ADC, he's a ranged AD bruiser and shouldn't be played as an ADC. lol.

Also, Karma is not comparable to Nidalee at all. Nidalee support does not need AP to do her job (60% AS boost is 60% AS boost whether she has AP or not and traps reveal whether she has AP or not), whereas Karma actually needs AP for her skills to be useful late game. Karma support is much more like playing Orianna support. Sure you can do it and sure it can possibly work, but in real terms you're just gimping her ability as a solo laner because she happens to have a supportive skill in her kit.

As someone who mains supports and has for a long time, I would say Taric, Lulu, Blitz, and Janna are all much stronger supports to pick up right now.
