I've been examining Kassadin's kit and I noticed with his burst-assassin style and his silence that you could pull off some insane ganks with him (Ult -> Q -> W). His W also buffs his autoattack and his E can help clear camps.
My only qualm, is that I am unsure of a build and I don't know if this is already in use, could someone give me their input?
As sirell said, just put him back in mid. His clear time would be horrid, his mana usage awful, and those insane ganks you are talking about? You do those from mid lane anwyays, it's kind of the point of Kassadin mid lane.

If I helped you, click that +rep!
Nothing in
Kassadin's kit makes him a good jungler. Passive is wasted in the jungle, only good clearing spell would be
Force Pulse, if it didn't have to be charged. You'd essentially be clearing the jungle solely through auto-attacks.
In order to sustain your immediate Post-6, you'd have to take 2nd and maybe even 3rd blue to keep your mana up and CDs low.
If you want to consider taking a champion into the jungle, at least consider how well they'd fare in the jungle. I mean, just because
Veigar might have godlike ganks doesn't suddenly make him viable in the jungle.
He can bully enemy champs out of lane, farm safely and then gank well from mid. Why would you want to take him jungling instead?

1.) kassadin is not that slow in the jungle. actually he is not the fastest... but around average.
2.) at lvl 1 and 2 he is pretty weak, because of no life leach. (--> leash for golem/lizard is needed for a good start)
3.) he has no mana problems at all, since you level w (nether blade) which will give you back more mana than you can spend.
4.) i would even dare to say lizard is a prefered start, if you want to clear the jungle fast.
5.) his 1on1 potential is very strong at lvl 1-4
6.) his ganks pre 6 are awful, because of no gapcloser and weak slow. better babysit a lane, so that the enemy has to use his flash
7.) his ganks after lvl 6 lack a lot of dmg and to deal the most dmg, he needs to be very close to the enemy (remember, you leveled W !)
--> he is still squishy and melee, that means, you have to play as a bruiser and a tanky build would make sense.
--> if you go for ap, you will lack: sustain, you will decrease you jungle clear time, and you will have this stupid "whole" after lvl 6 where your spells won't deal enough dmg for good ganks, because they are at lvl 1 or 2 and need to be leveled first.

jungling with kassadin obviously ;-)
you sound as if you have not even tried it.
i did. i also think he is not the best jungler, because jax would be his perfect substitute.
the only positive side of kassadin jungle is that he does not need mana while being a mana based champ. period.
in all other aspects he is just average and other champs outclass him in terms of cc, dmg and jungle clear time.
what might work is that he switches with another lane during mid or lategame. (e.g. you know your midlane is very strong before 6, but will loose to the other champ after 6, you might want him to place him in the jungle)

What do you mean by he does not need mana even though he's mana based?
