League of Legends (LoL) Question: Questions about High Elo Jungle

    Questions about High Elo Jungle

I spend some of my free time watching Competitive League of Legends and also quite a bit watching High Ranking Professional Player Streams and something I've noticed a lot is that Lee Sin isn't really a normal jungle pick and mostly goes Top Lane, why is that? And while on the Subject I don't see a lot of Udyr at higher Ranks, why is this? In my opinion and many players will agree Udyr brings a devastating power to a team with his Resistances and Nice damage output... So can anyone explain this to me?

Lee Sin is fine, but Xin Zhao and Jarvan IV can do basically everything he can do, but with less required skill and more utility. You generally pick Lee for early pressure, and those two have a lot of early pressure.

Udyr wasn't played much because his kit was pretty weak compared to other junglers. He could clear fairly fast, but his ganks were lackluster and he would just be kited in team fights. The reworked Udyr apparently has very fast jungle clear as well as a more reliable gap closer. I don't know if this will bring him back into the meta as a jungler, but you might see more of him soon.

you clear your jungle a fair bit, but i agree that there's a lot more pressure, and there's more then 3 camps...?

Nighthawk ... jungling on tt is a whole different story because you barely clear your jungle anyways (there's only 3 camps and they get cleared so fast i mean)

No clue bout TT I don't really play it but I imagine it would be fine if you have CC on other champs.

that's not what you want on a jungler. That's what you want on a mid laner, which is why he's played mid.

Kha has no CC and has ridiculous problems initiating good fights and peeling so he's not a good jungler

lee sin is played in lane for high elo cos he's so easy to win lane with if you are good. The jumps are honestly the stupidest things to lane against, and his burst is realyl strong as well..

Well the old Udyr had everything you wanted EXCEPT for the fact that he had no range at ALL.

This left everything to be extremely predictable and respondable. you knew when an udyr was coming at you with his bear stance and could easily react to that with a counter-initiate

tis why he's not played anymore

you'll realize that most competitive players never want delayed abilities that can be responded to.

At the moment, I think people are still feeling out whether Udyr is the king of the jungle again with the buffs or not. Lee also doesn't really fit that well into the meta atm, I personally don't feel he has a whole lot of reason to build stuff like Botrk and TBC, which are the best items now.
