Lulu vs Thresh

Hi guys!
I am going to buy now support, but I dont know whitch of that two champs choose. I like thresh's mechanism but lulu seems to be better in team fights and has better disables (Polymorph). How do you think?

Yes, is better for teamfights. is a good off-tank and initiator, but doesn't have the same utility power as . It pretty much boils down to whether you want more utility or more tankiness on your team.

I would probably take , since people STILL don't know how to use 's . I think also has a stronger laning phase, though I could be wrong on that, since I haven't played her in a while.

^ agree with bionic. they are both great supports but very different in playstyle. both aggressive and bully lane but thresh to me is more of a kill lane and lulu is more of a farm lane due to the thresh grab. lulu pokes to back up enemies to the tower. thresh looks for opportunities to grab a flay so that his adc can get kills.

Neither of them is really better than the other, it just depends on one your team needs more; Aggression and initiation and CC, or more carry defense or bruiser initiating power.

I do not agree with the laning phase. Thresh is a total bully in the lane. Stands in the middle of the creep wave, zoning everyone and their mother and is able to trade with with AD carry. Things can turn out extremely bad if he grabs someone with his Q.
's laning phase highly depends on who your carry is and who the enemies are. She can't poke aggressively against every matchup but she isn't bad in lane. I just think that teamfights are where she truly shines.

They are both strong. is considered a little more gamebreaking in competitive play (particularly soloqueue, he can carry better than most supports). is also one of the top competitive picks though, so I don't think your question can be answered by looking for the "better" option.

Just figure out which one you'd prefer to play. Lulu is really good at protecting the ADC, Thresh has more of an all-around strong kit for peeling, picking, initiating and saving people with lantern.

Lulu is a life saver

Thresh is a life taker :P

Lulu
Lulu's movement speed buffs, free shields and her ultimate give the ADC.
It will give the ADC much more potential and surivability.
Her slow will help kiting and chasing enemies aswell.

Thresh
Thresh on the other hand, has a pull, a knockback that also slows and a caging ultimate.
The pull can really get the enemy ADC out of position, when combined with the knockback and the ultimate, the enemy ADC is pretty much dead if your ADC helps aswell :P
His lantern can be a real life saver, since it pulls back a friendly champion when in danger.

Conclusion
Lulu is more a poky person that strengthens the allied ADC.
Thresh is more of a bursty initiator that weakens the enemy adc :D

I go with since her ult gives extra health and that can really save people and her whimsy can prevent enemies diving for a baron steal i tried and it looks like he is more tank and not much support because he does not have much escape mechanisms other than his ult and his movement is not so good so he can choose to be either a tank who takes all the damage or a support that can die fast
