Retype everything without being a douche.
Are you a complete moron?
Hi! I picked lux and dropped veigar as my main back around when Dominion came out because of the longer range instanuke she possesses, and have been lovin her ever since. I made this account JUST to show my gratitude at you picking Teleport over ignite! Although there were probably mentions in the other guides, you prioritized it as a main tool of choice. I find that roaming out of lane to gank bot or top as lux is quite dangerous, especially considering how squishy she is. I never know if I was going to get counterganked or not. Therefore having that amazing spell to me is crucial because not only do you not have to walk over like 3 different enemy wards to help the other lanes, saving losing fights by simply appearing almost out of nowhere (TF Side ult) is too good.
Recently I have been getting abit serious about LoL in general (Was purely casual), and have been trying to improve my play evey step of the way. I've become quite passionate about playing Lux, and I just have a couple ideas/questions that I have been thinking about and would gladly have a pro player like you to look over at (I'm not pro at all, might played ranked later on, may be placed in bronze/silver idk). So here they are:
====1: What do you think of replacing the epic Grail with the Morellos? Two people told me that when they play lux, they like to get the Kages early on (If they don't go for the 80 ap power spike) to get extra income for the long run. Also the passive on the book is basically your missing non dmging ignite right? I find that when Im doing good as lux, sometimes the other team just stacks abit more hp to counter me. Is there another way as this champ to counter hp? I don't feel like buying liandry's is worth my gold (Except for extra MPEN) I often tell my adc to build King blade.
Next two questions/proposals are really important for me. They relate with what barfcat had to say about getting BOTH of the two items mentioned above for CDR and also emphasis my desire for CDR flat blues.
====2: What do you think about replacing the scaling ap blues with the flat cdr? Apparently runes are made for strong early game presence (as told by friends) and that having abit of extra ap is good. And scaling ap beats flats at lv 6 yes? But I don't find myself harassing too much until like lv 5 (Passive play) or when I back for large rod or chalice (Maybe kages) From watching that pro player pick and also listening to the same friends, getting a lot of cdr is key for lux. Yes, having those ap runes must mean a lot to you since flat ap quints give 15 ap while those runes at lv 6 give 9 ap (Did the math), But I would rather have these cdr runes instead; coupled with the Sorcery mastery, I would have 11.5% CDR at level 1! I want to now get onto my idea, which is actually the end part of this question.
====3: Since a lot of fed endgame lux's end up with like over 400 ap,(more or less) personally I don't think 28 ap at lv 18 is worth ditching the important 7.5% CDR that ties in with the 4% from tree. Also, what the person said about getting BOTH the 20% CDR items. What I've said before, and will add more into now, should be able to remedy this. Ok so, lets imagine a game where it's about even or better. So EARLY GAME, you back for the typical chalice for mana reasons. Maybe on that same back or 2nd, you get the codex. Hopefully you are able to acquire the blue from jungler. If you do, then you will be at maximum CDR at the time right before or after you have ulti. Isn't that important to have, especially since you will be leveling up E more so QW will not be lowered in CD all while making this early CDR more effective on said QW? Now into LATE GAME. This should solve buying BOTH the cup and book :) . So maybe it is going well, maybe not. But let's just say that you do not have much control over blue anymore, but you have 3 of your finished items. With the athenes, cdr runes and mastery, plus the constant blue elixir, you wont NEED buff or other CDR item other than for mana regen!!! (And still be at max reduction)
For me, this big argument in my mind is why I think CDR flat blues is quite strong.
So if some people DID read through all of these godawful blocks of text, would they kindly reply back with some good feedback on this, even if it is negative, so that I don't have to feel bad about posting this at all? (I'm hoping someone will come out and say "Pure GENIOUS!"..... I doubt it)
Only guide that talks about how to play the champ rather than HERP DERP LETS TALK ABOUT THOSE OBVIOUS ITEMS AND SKILLS AND EVERYTHING ELSE
Yeah. People should learn the difference between making a "build" and writing a "guide".
