As someone who plays with Skarner Top Lane, I feel as if you are not building him correctly and not making his early game as safe as it needs to be. I try to max my E and W as early as possible giving sustain, and defense. His Q is much better late game is hitting multiple enemies at once giving max potential. I also find that building right into Iceborn Gauntlet will be incredibly more effective then a Manamune. To counter such high mana costs, I try also rushing a Shurelya's Reverie to keep up with the costs, and helps save my *** with ganks. When you put that speed boost with his W it will be almost impossible to catch you. I also believe that your masteries are poorly chosen and need to be re-looked at. Putting more points in Utility does not make Skarner effective and really cripples his early game. I find putting more points into Defense will help save him from early decimation. Thank you for putting up this guide, but I feel as if you need to put more time into it and really look at Skarner and his scalings and abilities.

My BB coding skills are low. Also BB coding is extremely time consuming. I waneted to make an informative guide not a flashy one, I've not the time for flashy.



Jungle Skarner is currently in a very poor place, also Hybrid Pen runes aren't as good as you think. AS is much more beneficial for Skarner since it lowers his CDs thanks to his passive.

Nice Guild overall. I main Skarner as top lane and get to Platinum with it. Its true that he has a weak early game (manaissues, no high kill potential). [Even skanner is weak early Skarner beats Zed in early game, its pretty hard to lose vs a Zed in lane] But he is stronger than most ppl think. and if he gets a good gank u can easy snowball ur lane and the game.
