So after I catched up with Sword Art Online (which is not good but it was the trigger) I also started reading Toaru Majutsu no Index aswell as Utsuro no Hako to Zero no Maria, but I crave for more good stuff.

I should also note that I read most, if not all, translated Type-Moon related works, the current one being Fate/Apocrypha (but I really hope that DDD gets translated soon...maybe there is even a translation lurking around somewhere in Beast's Lair...*hopefull eyes*?)

Anyways, any of the fellow Moba Animefans have suggestions on what is good to read~? I'm not that confident with Light Novels...yet.

Not all light novels are adopted into anime/manga form.

I recommend reading the Index light novels, especially if you are a fan of the anime series already. I approve of the translation quality; it is not the best and could use some editing, but it's miles better than the translation quality you get in average anime subs nowadays.

Don't know if Suzumiya Haruhi is translated. Also worth reading if it is, though I cannot vouch for the translation quality on any of that.

Monogatari Series: First Season

Monogatari Series: Second Season

Monogatari Series: Final Season (Still being published).

These are must-read for me, my favourite. And I'm sure you'll at least find it good if you're into light novels in general. I'd bet my left kidney on it.

If you watched Bakemonogatari, you'll know how awesome the novels will be.

Because I don't want my question to get ignored?

Err, I think I stated in my post that I started reading that, didn't I? I started reading it because of a friends recommendation and the anime in the first place though.

Silly me. :D

"Light Novels" is a term for japanese illustrated novels made for young adults only.

If you were expecting books such as "A song of fire and Ice" Series by Georges R.R Martin, I'm sorry for you :P

So light novels are like half a page illustration, half a page text?
I've never read any myself.

It's normally a regular book with few illustrations (generally 3 or 4 illustrations per Act, or 1 or 2 illustrations per Chapter), often used to give you an image of a character that newly appeared or to illustrate a main event. It helps your imagination a lot. They give you a preset of the characters look/personality in an illustration then you make it flourish in your mind.

Here's an example : Fate/Apocrypha Act 1: Unbirth

As you can see, this Act is made of text and 3 Illustrations of the character.
