When it asks me if I want to update, I click yes and it takes me to the download page. Do I have to re-download the entire thing to get the updated version, or is there some button I'm missing that will just update my client?

I think you just have to redownload the whole thing, and yes we are aware that's kind've a pain in the butt. :(
