Hello, Mobafire!

I started playing this game in May and recently leveled 30.
And as I leveled 30 I've more or less only gone up against silver ranked players (I'm unranked) which is not a problem as long as I get to play mid with Ahri. (My main)

However the problem occurs when I wanna try out new champions and roles I fail horribly as I don't know how to play the champion/role optimally and I go up against Silver ranked people that has practiced their role and know the champions they're playing.

I feel really bad just going in to a normal game and just lose my lane completely and get flamed by everyone in the team.
I don't know how to do in this situation and I'm looking for advice, anyone got any advice other than "practice in bot games"?

TL;DR: I wanna learn new champs/roles w/o feeding - How do I?

Thanks!

It may not be the answer your looking for but when I want to try out a new champ I sometimes set up a custom bot game just to get a feel for how their abilities work, then I play a few dominion rounds with to practice landing their skill shot's/abilities, then I play in summoner rift's normal's, a long processes but eh it work's for me

It may also help to just watch their champion spotlights or see if Ciderhelm on YouTube has a video about the champion you want to learn how to play, he has a really good series of videos called Don't Feed "champion name here" very helpful his Ahri video is very well done

also I also grinded to level 30 using only Ahri my favorite champion and I'm still learning new things about how to play her

You could try playing champions don't require too much knowledge to use right off the bat, such as Caitlyn for AD carries, Nunu for jungling, Sona for supporting, and maybe Singed for top lane? You could play them your first time (or the first few times) in a co-op game to get a feel for the champion before heading out into a normal game to practice. You could ask a friend to play against you in a custom game to also help you learn your new champion.

As mentioned before, there are also a lot of YouTube videos on each champion and how you can build and play them. Good luck! :)

I appreciate the advice very much! It'll really help me enjoy and learn the game a whole lot more.
Rep given to both of you. Cheers!
