Aatrox Guide
Duff's Only Video Diamond Aatrox guide!
Hi Duff. I'm Just an amateur Aatrox player who found your guide to be very informative and instrumental in improving my gameplay with this awesome champion. I was wondering what your thoughts are on Yomuus Ghostblade. I find the item to work well with him. The armor pen and crit is a nice touch with the cool down, attack speed active, and damage. The active is useful for chasing, and kiting. Its also a good tool when you die and lose all your attack speed from your blood well, cause you can pop the active and get it all back to keep fighting or use it to run away. Its Kind of like a mini Aatrox ult but with MS included. I like this item because I feel Aatrox needs atleast some armor pen especially if the game drags on and even carries start getting armor. Plus its cheap for jungling.
Probably not the item I would buy, just because he scales well with big chunky AD items like Hydra and BT due to how much free AS he gets.
If you want to crit I would suggest sword of the divine to gib somebody when paired with a BT or Hydra. the synergy is real with the 3 hits for w passive and your general style of bursty engager anyway.

Hey duff, now that the BotRK has been nerfed in the AS, what item do you think is best to build to have AS?
I usually rush Hydra, then visage, then BotRK (yes, before boots).
Now I'm having some trouble, I'm trying to anticipate boots or zefir, but this is not a good path probably... Any advice?

Well I would get boots personally, because of the nature of a melee Carry and how important your positioning and ability to kite will be.
No BRNA stuff here, Riven has jumps, Aatrox just has one.
Zephyr is great, you should try that if you don't like the BOTRK. It might even be better than BOTRK but it's hard to say.

Wow, this guide was so helpful. I just picked up aatrox a day ago and found this guide. I watched every video then went online to try it out. Out of the last 10 games I played as him, we won nine and lost one. I always won my lane and went positive with little to no deaths (Except for this one game that took 70 minutes. >.<). I just had a quick question, you mentioned that CDR is a pretty good stat on a item for Aatrox, I wondered but couldnt find it anywhere, does CDR also affect the cooldown of his passive?
Nope, it's just good for his jump /ulti / e ^_^

Well, duff i have to say your videos have helped me become an insane Aatrox player. Your item suggestions and ability route is what has helped me the most and i have to say it really paid off. I recently just played a game where about 20 min in my team is winning and our ADC decides to disconnect. My team manages to keep ahead despite the disadvantage and actually win a 4v5. Seriously so epic and i attribute the win to building Aatrox the proper way thank you, you have helped immensely.
