So iv'e recently watched a ranked game where 
Vayne was played as a solo top Adc. She was up against a Renekton, and completely dominated! Even when their jungler, no less, a Lee Sin, instead of being the squishy carry she is she became an invisible, ninja, tumbling, condemning, **********er!!!
I can't remeber the name of the player, he was definetly pro. Final Hour, then tumble invisibly into the bushes, get three AA with Silver Bolts from there, and when Renekton came into the bush, Vayne Tumbled out and Condemned him into the wall. All in all his gameplay was fantastic.
My question is, as a none pro player. Is Vayne a viable top lane? Or just situational? Or just if you're really pro?

She's amazing at dueling and zoning, whilst also having her huge disengage tools and being able to survive ganks if she doesn't get insta CC-ed.
Definitely a situational pick.
It's because range is broken atm and also because Condemn and Tumble is stupid for 1v1 disengages.
As Vayne, you outscale 90% of bruisers, you don't need to build tank because your jungler will, and you can duel anyone once you're 6. Not to mention because she's against a melee her early game weakness is alleviated.
Champs with high burst and good gap-closers can definitely still be problematic and, of course, junglers will know how to **** you over early-game.

Basically, it can bully really hard because she's really hard to catch without strong gap closers and CC combined. Also she can escapes most ganks pretty well (unless they have hard cc like maokai, rammus etc)
Also, she's not really effective against ranged tops like jayce or elise.
