If it would work that well, you'd be able to give me some strong arguments why it does. You're only naming one individual in a world of millions - and that player doesn't even play sona AP exclusively.

I have given you so many points on which sona mid loses out and yet you keep ignoring them - you don't even bother telling me something in return, you just switch subjects and don't respond to what I am saying - you respond to something completely different. I was pointing out how she doesn't fit in the current meta because of a few fundamental flaws in her mechanics and you respond by saying that there is a single diamond player that has had some decent succes with AP sona.

Tbh I consider kassadin and gragas assassin mages. Both of these 2 can easily **** up sona because they just 1-shot her after level 6.

Orianna is indeed not an assassin but in all honesty I barely see her being played in my soloqueue games. She doens't work that well in solo queue.

Your reasoning just proves why Sona mid is not viable ATM: EVERY mid in the current meta is an assassin (look the pick rates of certain champs in worlds) and EVERY jungler has great CC. You have just proven, yourself, that Sona should not be played mid. These are her fundamental flaws.


Your assumption that I can't see when something has potential because I'm blinded by tournament play is not grounded at all. Perhaps you should give me some reasons why I would not be able to see the potential in something purely off theorycrafting?

I play lots of champions that were not played in S3 world's as well - and I try to see the potential behind everything that is unconventional. I will always be skeptical, but I give everything a fair chance. You have not given me an argument at all, left alone a convincing one, why I should believe you when you say Sona mid works. The only arguments you are using are personal.
