Katarina and most "easy" mages (yes, I know she's an assassin, but she's still ability based :<). Perhaps it's because the complexity of the champions I prefer allows for more opportunities to outplay, whereas simpler kits tend to be a bit more one way. I feel that easy champs are more reliant on skills I lack, whereas hard ones allow for levels of play that take advantage of skills I am stronger in.
Also, tops in general, part of that is a lack of familiarity with what are mostly melee champions, the rest is sub-30 knowledge of the lane and its matchups. It's rare for me to do well in top, although, true to form, I do well considerably more often as the complex Jayce or Elise than as the simple Vladimir. Of course, whether simple kits mean a simple playstyle is a different matter.
