It is smoother though. I'm all for HTML, but it has to be equally good in other parts than just size and smoothness for it to be able to compete. There could be an off chance my mild colourblindness is a factor, but thats unlikely given that it only affects my perceptions of red/green. I will admit that there is a slight blur on the video though. Looking at the websites [url=http://gfycat.com/about]example gif [/url]its evident that the html5 version is a shade brighter and has mild blur, So you're correct there. The in browser options to slow/speed up the footage are kindof gimmicky and didn't really seem worth mentioning (though they probably have their uses). By easier to save I assume you mean easier to playback on ones computer. I'll admit that I simply neglected to mention that. Ive been using html for the last week and greatly prefer it to .gif, even with the slight blur. It saves time and almost always appears better in scenes with lots of movement.[/quote]
