My Morgana is fine, but I find her boring. So I fail to see why it really matters if I can generally win lane with Orianna the few times I have to mid lane.
That's the main point behind playing Morgana if you don't main mid. She is boring, and you can stay safe and gradually win lane. The main reason for not playing Orianna mid is that she is really reliant on your team taking advantage of your skills. Mid lane is generally a champ you can carry a game and snowball with. Orianna is really reliant on team play to be effective and snowball. That's all. She isn't as safe as Morgana and can't really carry the way Ziggs/Kayle or other mids who can snowball are able too.

Orianna is by far my best mage, hands down. I can pretty consistently do well with her, so I fail to see the problem with choosing to play her. My Morgana is pretty poor by comparison so I don't understand why you're insisting I should play her instead. I'm working on learning Lissandra, but I have a feeling that won't make you any happier. :P

Nope but I'm renowned for my sarcasm, which I was using to make a statement. People who don't play a certain role don't need advice on which champions to play for that role, it's that simple. They will avoid it and possibly dodge if they're forced to play it. Especially those players who are playing to win or those who simply haven't mastered their main role(s) yet.

I apologize if I come off as insistent. I was simply explaining the logic behind my recommendations. I am a fan of Orianna and Lissandra. Lissandra is different. I always feel like I should be dealign just a bit more damage with her. She feels like she is just not powerful enough, but her CC is incredible. I just can't play her well. Big D has been trying to get me to play Lissandra more regularly to get out of silver.
I have a question for you. In regards to supports, I am awful with the tank supports especially Leona, and pretty awful with Annie. Who is the next set that gives you the best laning experience? Currently, I am playing Zilean, Karma, Janna, and the occasional trollish Nidalee support. I used to just use Janna all the time, but she feels so lack luster now. Who is a good support for me to try picking up?

No worries ^^
Maybe try Lulu? She's got good poke, decent CC, and a lot of utility
Zyra's also pretty decent, her cc and harass is strong..Soraka's pretty fun, but you gotta be ballzy and really abuse her early game power.
I still like Nami a lot, but she feels a bit like Janna to me.
