Some people like having every update cataloged, like me, and others only throw in an update message when something big changes, like heavy nerfs or something. I think it's just preference and proof that the guide is being updated and not just being spam-published, which actually happens sometimes.

Yeah i'm a little guilty of that. I do get worried when I don't document my changes made to the guide. I guess it's more anxiety than anything else, but it kinda gives me an idea about which sections i've been neglecting to update, or which sections have been needing a ton of updates
If I helped you out, be sure to throw me a +Rep!

So it can show how you've adapted as a guide author to patch changes.
Pretty much this.
Readers want to know what is new in the guide. If they see it's recently updated and have no idea how; it can be frustrating for them to manually search for it.

I mean what is the point? is it like some thing we should do to keep viewers informed of what happens to the guide or anything like that? or is it just some useless ****?
